Sicilian Caponata

INGREDIENTS

Eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, onions, celery*, extra virgin olive oil (4%), wine vinegar, capers, sugar, salt.

SMELL-TASTING

Complex flavor of vegetables with sweet-sour perceptions. The first olfactory sensation comes from the olive then dampened by the other vegetables exalted by extra virgin olive oil that harmonizes the product.

WAYS OF USE

Very versatile, from aperitifs with toasted bread to the appetizer, to conclude as a side dish for meat or fish dishes to be garnished and filled with basil leaves or mint. Interesting pairing with finely cut cucunci (caper berries) or slightly toasted almonds.
